Cotter Planning and Zoning Board to Meet

The Cotter Planning and Zoning Board will be at 5:00 pm on October 3, 2023, at Cotter City Hall to consider two applications.  Consider issuing a Special Use Permit to locate greenhouses at 614 Harding Blvd.  Also, the Board will consider having a hearing for a variance to reduce the right-side setback to less than 10 feet at 510 Combs Ave for a garage.  

Public Hearing at 6:00 pm October 5, 2023

Notice is hereby given by the City of Cotter, Arkansas (the “City”) that the City proposes to issue its Sales and Use Tax and Water and Sewer Revenue Bond (the “bond”) in the maximum principal amount of $1,551,000 for the purpose of financing a portion of the costs of betterments and improvements to the City’s sewer system. The bond will be payable from (1) collections of a 1% sales and use tax previously levied by the City under Ordinance No. 2020-05, adopted January 28, 2021, and (2) revenues derived from the operation of the City’s water and sewer system. A public hearing concerning the proposed issuance of the bond will be held by the City Council at 6:00 o’clock p.m. on the 5th day of October, 2023, at the regular meeting place of the Council, 115 McLean Avenue, Cotter, Arkansas. At the public hearing, all interested persons shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed issuance of the bond.

Community Spaghetti Dinner – 1:00 pm-4:00 pm October 8, 2023

Good Shepherd Methodist Church (formerly known as Wesley United Methodist Church) is presenting a Community Spaghetti Dinner on October 8, 2023, 1:00 – 4:00 pm. The church is located on Hwy 62 in Cotter. The church is inviting you to bring the family for an afternoon of fellowship and fun! The dinner is free (dine-in only). Donations will be gladly accepted, and all donations go to community missions within the area. A copy of their flyer is attached.
